Andhra Pradesh-Cluster Development Programme

Andhra Pradesh Cluster Development Programme (AP-CDP) is a ₹200-crore state-funded initiative approved by the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet in to strengthen Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The program aims to establish 45 Common Facility Centres (CFCs) over five years to provide shared infrastructure and modern technology to small units.

  • Common Facility Centres (CFCs): 45 centres will be set up across the state to provide shared services like modern machinery, R&D support, packaging units, and quality testing labs.
  • Financial Assistance: The state government will provide between ₹5 crore and ₹10 crore per project.

Polavaram–Nallamala Sagar Link Project (PNLP):

Polavaram–Nallamala Sagar Link Project (PNLP) is a major irrigation and water-linking initiative proposed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. It is designed to divert surplus Godavari floodwaters to the drought-prone Rayalaseema region

  • Purpose: To harness approximately 200 TMCFT (Thousand Million Cubic Feet) of Godavari floodwater that would otherwise flow into the sea, providing irrigation and drinking water to water-scarce districts.

Infrastructure: The project involves taking water from the Polavaram Dam and linking it to the Nallamala Sagar (part of the Veligonda project) in the Prakasam district.
