Why in News?
Indian Navy has unveiled INS Krishna, the first indigenous Cadet Training Ship (CTS).

- INS Krishna (Yard 18003) is the first of three Cadet Training Ships.
- Designed and built by Larsen & Toubro (L&T).
- Launched at Kattupalli Shipyard, Chennai.
- Purpose: To act as a “floating classroom” for naval cadets.
- Part of India’s push for: Indigenisation in defence manufacturing
